For the right kind of image (that is, not so much for portraits of people) aluminum prints offer far more visual “pop” (no doubt because the aluminum substrate is both more reflective and flatter than paper) and, having purchased a few dozen of them at this point (some to sell, others for me to enjoy at home) I have found them to be fade resistant so long as they are not hung in the path of direct strong sunlight…so, not next to the outdoor pool for example. In addition, I have some prints hanging in a restaurant and after a year or so when I went to swap them out I found a layer of greasy dirt had accrued on their surfaces - a wipe with a microfiber cloth and water took care of that.
Yes, they are pricier than paoer prints of the same size, but there is no need at all for matting and framing, so in the end they are actually less costly (unless one is looking for a framed kind of look)
Packed extremely well even with what appeared to be rough handling during shipping. Print came out of the shipping container ready to be hung on the wall.
It looks incredible. Fits the space perfectly and the vivid colors match the original picture perfectly!
I received another aluminum print this week from Aluminyze and as aways it was perfect and arrived quickly. It great to find a company that can do a great job, quickly and for a fair price.
